Bali Bliss...

It's now day three of my Bali adventures... pure bliss in the mountainous region of Sukawati, between Sanur and Ubud.

I'm staying at a magical resort in this tranquil region, over-looking the Balinese forest, and a river running below the terraces of villas. Each morning I wake up to the sound of the birds chirping their early morning song as dawn peeks it's way over the mountains.

My days so far have been fulfilling my need for pampering, with a two-hour spa treatment of aromatherapy foot massage, lomi-lomi and hot stone massage. The setting is a private spa, with an open wall 'hanging' over the forest.

To be rested and pampered whilst hearing the forest 'breathing' and 'singing' it's harmony is pure magic!

I'm yet to mention that the spa treatments hav
e been some of the best I've experienced. The love and attention put into the massage is very healing and body-soul connecting.

Oh.. and very inexpensive. These treatments range from US$20 t0 maximum US$80 (three hour package). Certainly the best value I have EVER received.

The rest of my day is spent lounging by the pool after eating a traditional breakfast of Mei Goreng, meditating on my private deck, dipp
ing into my private plunge pool, snapping photos of magic moments, and simply enjoying my own company.

Yesterday I did go on a spontaneous adventure. I hired a private driver (Wayan) and car (US$50 for 5 hours) to take me to some "fun" places.

We visited the Royal Family Temple at Mengwi (Taman Ayun) which is surrounded by a moat, for an interesting but brief photo opportunity. It's 3,000 Rupiah (about AUD$0.40) to enter the grounds and witness it's beauty.

Then it was off the the sacred monkey forest in Tanaban (10,000 Rupiah, about AUD $1.20 or US$1.10) where I experienced several monkeys take it upon themselves to mistake me for a tree!

They were after bananas, which my guide, Madi had taken to carrying for me, to reduce the monkey fever rush up my body!

(I have plenty of video to share, but will need to post later as my internet connection here isn't supporting the upload).

There were also many large fruit bats hanging in the trees, and a sm
aller colony of bats at a "bat show" stand where you can experience holding one for a donation.

OK. So I finally got up the courage to hold a fruit bat! Been there. Done that.
Never again. Very strange experience. But then again, it's already been a strange day!

Next, it was off to Tanah Lot, where I walked through the throngs of people to view through the market stalls (entry was 15,000 IDR - AUD$1.80/US$1.65). Then I headed toward the beach to witness the sunset. Along the way, I discovered there was a large snake handling opportunity.

I thought, "Why not?!" Until I saw the size of the snake! Then I though, "Holy S**t!"

When I witness myself say "No way! I can't do that!" Then I immediately have a conversation with myself of, "Yes way! Then you must!"

My personal policy is to face fear head on.

So, whilst there were a crowd of people standing around gawking at the 40 kilo python, I jumped right in and negotiated my price for a picture with it. This created a huge commotion as my now audience followed us around "for the best picture view, Miss!" and clapped and laughed as I was (barely) able to hold the snake. It was heavy!

My fellow Balinese men who helped me, relocated me back to the lawn to then have me sit in the 'snake circle'.. where they wrapped the snake aro
und me on the floor for yet more pictures.

What an adventure! I felt like Indiana Jones!

My driver then escorted me down the rocks to witness the beauty of the tide line. In an ocean-side cave, we came across another 'Holy Snake' which was gua
rded by two Balinese men to make sure it is protected and you pay your donation.

Just before I
approached them there were two men (a Javanese tourist and his Balinese guide) who approached my guide Wayan. I overheard some conversation about wanting to take a photo with me. When Wayan told me, "this man wants to take a picture with you," I laughed and with a cheeky grin I said, "Sure! If he pays my donation to the Holy Snake"!

The look on these mens faces was priceless. Shock!

I'm a keen negotiater in almost every situation. I saw an opportunity to flex this skill, and in Bali mode after visiting the market stalls it seemed a natural course of negotiation.

The Javanese man agreed. Then paid 5,000 instead of the agreed 3,000 Rupiah to the Holy Snake man.

Wayan and I giggled. He said, "I've never heard anyone ask for that before!"

I laughed and said, "well I'm a strategist! There's more ways than one to skin a cat, if you want something! That was a win/win/win" He got his photo, I get to handle the snake, they get a donation."

Wayan nodded and laughed, amused by my boldness.

With a fun and adventured packed filled day, we headed back to the hotel, where I was met by the staff who had set up a private candlelit dining space for me, poolside.

It was a magical way to bring a close to my day, as I enjoyed the night sounds of the mountains, the peace in the air, the beauty of the pool, and dined on delicious food and drank Balinese wine.

Eating Alligator in Florida...

It's been almost two weeks since I've blogged. And this is a little out of sync.. although, it is TODAY's event!

Today, I ate ALLIGATOR!

I'm staying with friends in Clearwater, Florida (near Tampa) and celebrated a day of fun with my friend Scott with a Margarita and Alligator bites..

Excuse the husky voice.. I've been helping my body recover from a lung-wrestling flu...

I'm taking a few days 'vacation' after an incredible and intense Internet Marketer's Caribbean Cruise last week... more coming on that update.

How to avoid jet lag – general tips

Jet lag is a physical reaction to a rapid change in time zones.

It affects most people, even seasoned travelers! Including flight staff that travel often.

It’s often been said that it takes the body one day to recover for each time zone crossed. In my case, that could be a week-long recovery!

This time, I got a little smarter and figured out how to avoid jet lag (or at least minimize it)

I've just traveled from Perth, to San Francisco (via Sydney) again for the fourth time in 18 months, and have copped another dose of it! This time I’ve only got some mild effects because I created some new patterns for myself. Mostly, drinking LOTS of extra water before, during and after the flight. And resting the day before the flight, instead of running around preparing to the last minute, like I did in the past.

Some of the contributing factors of jet lag can be quite debilitating and include:

· Dehydration

· Unfamiliar foods

· Cramped spaces

· Recycled air

· Lack of sleep

· Uncomfortable clothes

· Continual low-level noise

· Connections that disrupt sleep

· Quite frankly it can make you feel beat up!

Some of the symptoms of this disruption to circadian-rhythm include:

· Exhaustion

· Irritability

· Headache

· Dehydration (dry eyes, throat, nose, even skin)

· Disorientation

· Anxiety

· Indigestion

· Irregular bowel movements, constipation or diarrhea

· Impaired co-ordination (Including: bumping into things, dropping things)

What To Do?

Pre flight

· Plenty of sleep

· Plenty of exercise

· Drink lots of water – hydrate

· Avoid or limit alcohol and caffeine. Especially avoid a party night the evening before you fly, so you can give your body maximum energy to cope with the travel and time changes. Alcohol and caffeine are also diuretics, which deplete the body of maximum hydration.

· Prepare for your flight in advance so you can relax the day before. Reducing stress, anxiety or excitement prior to the flight will help your body clock adjust with more ease

During the flight

· Wear or change into comfortable clothing. Or even, put on your pajamas!

· Carry a set of ear plus and an eye mask to help you block out noise and light whilst you sleep.

· Use a travel pillow or neck rest to also aid your positional comfort when sleeping.

· Avoid or limit alcohol and caffeine. With the pressurization of the cabin it accelerates the effects of dehydration.

· Drink plenty of water. Set a target to drink 2 liters (4 pints) during the flight.

· Eat as little as possible. Most people don’t enjoy the meals on the flight, but rather eat out of boredom. Even in business or first class, where the food served is often quite delicious, it’s not necessary to eat as much as is served. Try to eat fresh fruit (even pack your own to take on board).

· Move about the cabin and stretch for some exercise when possible. In your seat, stretch regularly, pay attention to your spine and give it a chance to stretch and ‘breathe’. In your seat, circle your ankles and do some knee/leg lifts to aid circulation.

· As soon as you board your flight, set your watch to your destination time. Adjust your body clock immediately to the new time zone: If it’s going into night time, then do your best to sleep, or at least meditate and nap for as long as possible to align your body clock. If it’s daytime, then stay awake.

· If you get the opportunity to have a shower during a stop-over then it can be a great way to assist with nurturing your body. It not only assists with freshening you up, it also aids in relaxing your muscles and improving circulation.

Arriving at your destination

· If it’s daytime, then do your best to stay awake. This is the KEY. It’s important to reset your body clock as soon as possible to help avoid jet lag. Or at least minimize it. Do your best to stay awake until mid-evening at least. You will likely have a shorter sleep cycle for the first night. But then usually return to your regular sleeping pattern the second night. If you go to sleep during the day, you will likely sleep for days!

· If daytime, spend some time outdoors in the daylight and eat gentle and nourishing foods for your body to spend as little energy to digest. Salads, fruit, low-fat meals are great.

· If it’s evening when you arrive, go to bed as soon as possible. If you are restless, have a hot bath or shower, drink a calming herbal tea (such as chamomile) and listen to some calming music. Meditate or sit quietly to still your mind and body. Avoid stimulating your mind with watching TV or movies. Choose instead a little time for yourself to wind down.

· Drink plenty of water!

Hope these tips on how to avoid jet lag helps you the next time you do a long-haul flight. Whether you are traveling for business or holiday, take care of you so you can maximize your trip. That way you get to spend as much time as possible enjoying your new location.

Living Adventures Of The Heart on a Houseboat - Murray River, South Australia

This month I experienced living adventures of the heart on a luxurious houseboat!

It was a gathering of like-minded adventurers; a reunion of some of our group that traveled to Antarctica in January and February earlier this year.

It was also my
first experience on a houseboat, and in the region within South Australia where we cruised down (up?) the Murray River.

'Captain' Andy, one of our fellow adventurers had thrown out an invite to u
s via email a few months ago to gather here on these magical waters and to share the wonderful experience on his houseboat. I took the bait! It was the best bite of the trip! (Peer tried his hand at fishing and barely got a nibble!)

There were so many highlights, and many captured within the first of the four days of c
ruising.

My back was sti
ll on the mend so instead of participating directly in the water sports and rough play (water fights and 'people' tossing into the river were just a few) I enjoyed capturing the magic moments with my camera.

On day two, Andy took us out in the dingy through the marshlands, tearing through the river 'alleyways' and reeds. The air became polluted with our squeals and laughter as Andy steered and belted our way through the narrow channels.

Matt got whipped around on the tube behind t
he ski boat, as did apparently his shorts! The men decided to entertain us with a visual to remember: re-routing the ski-boat direction so Matt could zip past us (we were sitting on the back deck of the houseboat), baring all his glory, lying face up on the tube and giggling.

We spent four glorious days laughing, loving and living adventures of the heart.

The games didn't stop at dusk. Instead, they magnified as the affect of plenty of wine and beer flowed.

Card games became a spectacle at night-tim
e as body slapping occurred with a "King," "Queen," "Jack," or "Ace." Andy led the group, apparently bending the rules on occasions. He liked to win! And he certainly had quality competition.

For four days, we ate like kings and queens. Whilst we all pitched in, Erika mostly commandeered the kitchen and spoiled us with her love and passion for cooking. Normally I'm the 'Kitchen Queen', so I lavished the opportunity to have someone else be in charge of (most of) the cooking.

The men (mostly Peer) took care of cooking on the BBQ out on the back deck. The first morning used most of the eggs.

The rest of the eggs were used the following day, 'trick-or-treat' style as egg-throwing occurred on Halloween. I dodged the mucky affair, witnessing the hil
arity whilst behind the sanctity of the glass sliding door to the deck, avoiding being egg-slapped and possibly pushed into the water.

The magic moments stacked high for the long weekend that we enjoyed together. The weather was perfect, warm and inviting to sit out on the top deck at night. The sunsets lit up the sky with majestic oranges, pink and gold rays of light. The crack of dawn reflected it's stillness in the smooth water, mirroring the reflection of the trees on the banks and the clouds forming gentle puffs of white cotton wool.

Perhaps my favourite magic moments are all the ones connecting deeper with each of my friends, forming stronger bonds in friendship and love with like-minded souls.

Thank you Andy for the opportunity to experience such joy and fun on your beautiful luxurious houseboat, and connecting with you all again.

Service with Heart

Living Adventures of the Heart! It's what I do best!

To me it means showing up every day in life to play full-out.

Sometimes, that means physical adventures, and it also means expanding past the self-limiting boundaries I perceive in my own personal life journey. Every day is an adventure!

I'm back in Perth, settled in after an amazing ten day adventure to Melbourne, then Adelaide, South Australia to reunite with friends (from probably my most magical adventure yet - a trip to Antarctica back in Jan/Feb of this year.)

This post is about a wonderful ...and quite frankly, the BEST SERVICE I have ever experienced from any restaurateur.

Meet George McArdle, the venue manager for "Bombay Bicycle Club," a unique restaurant in Adelaide.

This story is all about his BIG HEART and a memorable experience. (I've also just noticed the t-shirt I was wearing that day. I believe there is no co-incidence, only co-creation. By the way, that white band around my waist was my back brace supporting me after my 'spontaneous' injury on Tuesday.)

I arrived at the Adelaide airport at 3pm on Thursday 29th October from Melbourne to be greeted by my friends Peer and Margaret, who are literally my close neighbours and had flown in from Perth. Erika also greeted me with a welcoming smile and a hug. She lives in Adelaide and was picking us up. We had flown in to prepare for an amazing houseboat holiday adventure on the Murray River (that blog post is coming next!).

We were all hung
ry, so headed straight out to the Bombay Bicycle Club which Erika was excited to recommend to us.

Unfortunately, when we arrived we were advised initially by George that the kitchen wasn't due to be open for another two hours!

"Wow! Really? We've been anticipating amazing food here, recommended by our friend," I sa
id, pointing to Erika. "We've just flown in and we're hungry!"

"Sorry," he said. But he looked undecided.

We all gently asked if there was any alternative food available. There wasn't anything we wanted.

"Okay," I breathed out. We all looked at each other, slowly preparing to head off.

"Wait!" George says. "I can't promise anything, but let me go see if the chef is in yet and is prepared to make something up early. I'll be right back. But I'm not promising anything."

He came back with a BIG smile. We all whooped with joy!

We kept it simple. We all decided on the delicious 'Salt & Pepper Squid.' My heart was singing for his kindness, opening up his restaurant early for us to eat and enjoy their fare.

George, if you're reading this... again, THANK YOU! You made a decision that affected four people in a powerful way. Just as well, I'm a 'big-mouth' and love to share with people wonderful stories that exemplify excellence and Living Adventures Of The Heart.....

In return for your kindness George, I am absolutely excited to share your restaurant details.

For a great restaurant experience: ambiance, service, food and wine. Next time you're in Adelaide head on over to The Bombay Bicycle Club

Melbourne, Munchies, Mentoring and Mishaps

I arrived in Melbourne on Monday
, for a four day catch-up with great friends, and to attend Dale Beaumont's "Propel Your Profile" event.

As always, my life is packed, daily, with adventure of all sorts.

My first day in this beautiful city I was greeted with warm sun kisses as the weather glowed with the hint of summer arriving. My friend Kim, picked me up from the airport and we headed straight out to lunch on the waterfront. Tapas and talking... we were in our element!

Tuesday, Kim indulged me in finding a Spa so I could get a foot massage. With recent chiropractic treatment, my practitioner has warned me to steer clear of body massages for awhile, but that a foot massage was OK.

The hiccup came with the way I was sitting in the lounge chair for the hour. The chair being an overstuffed delicious couch, was too big for me. My lower back being compromised as I stretched my legs forward onto the footstool.

At the end of the hour, my feet felt fantastic. My lower back ached. As I walked out of the store I sensed I needed to rest, not walk.

That evening, whilst preparing to go out for the "Propel Your Profile" event being presented by Dale Beaumont (Author and Publisher of the "Secrets of...... Exposed" series) I made the fatal mistake of the 'head flick' whilst blow drying my hair. As my back pinched with a piercing pain I was reminded of an exact same scenario of a patient I attended to early in my previous Paramedic career.

Gasping for breath as I clutched the vanity counter to support myself, I cursed at the timing. Able to straighten myself up with favouring my left leg, I hobbled out of the bathroom ready for the event but concerned about my back.

"Oh my God!" Kim cried. "Are you alright?"

"No! But I'm going to the event."

I mustered my strength and supported my body as best I could for the 3 hours we attended the seminar. I squirmed in my chair, shifting to avoid pain and to support my back.

I began wondering about the next phase of my journey coming up.... heading to Adelaide for a house boat tour. I sat thinking also about my recent illness over a week ago with a 'stomach bug' that turned out to be 'food poisoning'... I believe everything happens for a reason, so perhaps I'm getting plenty of hints to slow down for a little while.

Attending the "Propel Your Profile" event was as destined as I had expected. Whilst on my recent travels in Europe, I had followed Dale's (and his wife, Katherine, and son, Finnigan) journey throughout Europe also. I had made a mental note that I wanted him as one of my mentors in my life. When I arrived in Australia the opportunity to come to this event 'showed up'.

Law of Attraction.

And I am excited to say I am weaving the threads of all the learnings from so many of my courses and travels these last few years, into a wonderful tapestry with Dale's direction. He is a wonderful example of someone 'Walking their Talk' and emanates one of my highest values, Integrity.

That night, back in bed, I couldn't get comfortable. My sleep disrupted by my back 'catching' any time I moved or attempted to roll over. I finally fell asleep again at 5am and slept through to just after noon. The house was empty, void of any sound of Kim or Jaydan, her two year old.

After hobbling out to the lounge room, I found a note on the table that she was out having coffee at her parents. I called her.

"How's your back?" She asked.

"Not good," I'm disappointed to advise. "I'm wondering if I can get an urgent appointment with Jason's (her husband's) chiropractor?"

A few hours later, I'm booked to see an alternate chiropractor only ten minutes away. He can see me today.

When I went to the appointment and explained my history, current situation and also his assessment he advised me, "I'm afraid you have a disc bulge at L4."

"Oh no," I'm teary. I'm determined to continue my holiday on the house boat in Adelaide this week. He says, "see how you feel tomorrow. You might change your mind."

"At least once I'm on the house boat I can rest," I justify. "It's not like I'm going on a trek!"

"True," he says. "Let's book you in for tomorrow also, before you go on your flight."

I'm touched by the level of care and professionalism from him. He's gentle and kind, supportive even.

So this morning, I have woken up 'stiff and sore' from the treatment yesterday. I'm more confident than yesterday, with my back supported with a brace, my nerves less jangling with the aid of Voltaren, and my back being iced every 10 minutes to soothe the inflammation.

I'm heading to Adelaide today.

I'm grateful to rest. I see this as a gift for me to focus on my health, on my heart, on my spirit and to do some mind-mapping for the coming business projects I have in the pipeline.

Mostly, I'm grateful for my financial independence. For the freedom to rest and relax, even on a house-boat, without the fear of income drying up.

Financial Freedom was always a dream of mine through my teens and twenties. Now in my early Thirties I am fortunate to be at a level in life to recreate and design my life on yet another level.

The point of sharing my story is, that even with a 'blessed' financial life (self-created), all sorts of issues still occur: health, relationships, family, even monetary (just usually with a few more 0's added to the dollars).

Never let any 'issue' get in the way of your goal.

I loved a message Dale Beaumont shared at his event with regards to getting what you want: "If you can't get in through the front door, go around the back door. If you can't get in the back door, go through the side window. If you can't get through the side window, go down the chimney!"

Find a way to live life on your terms. Fulfill your dreams. And dare to dream BIG! Make it happen and NEVER give up.

Gratitude is the Key to an abundance of success!

The POWER of sincere Gratitude is often very much misunderstood and underestimated.

Gratitude will create a vibrational force that magnetizes abundance into your life. Not just in the financial sense. It also magnetizes more of whatever you are focusing on and truly appreciating, seeing the gift of what you have in your life....
RIGHT NOW....

Equally, if you focus on what you don't want, or in fact not appreciating what you have now in your life, you are resisting what you have and in essence focusing on what you DON'T WANT.

This often occurs with people who resist money, yet find themselves in a financial conundrum. People often want more money, want more wealth, yet FEAR it. At some level there is a resistance and if you look deep enough into these situations they will usually show up a pattern of focusing on the illusion of their reality NOW.

~What's important is to focus on what is GREAT NOW with a sincere embodiment of GRATITUDE. ~

We created the financial situation in the now, by the constant thoughts and actions of the past. The lag time shows up the evidence, 'reality' mirroring what you had been thinking. If you choose to keep thinking the same thoughts, your 'reality' will keep showing up the same. If you're focusing on abundance, the gifts, the magnificence, the magic, you will get more of the same. Needless to say, if you're afraid and focusing on bills, debts, and creating illusions of the future of more of the same.... well, you will get more of the same.

There is a solution to this financial example. As it seems to stem as the perceived problem by many.

First, define the problem. It's usually not a money income problem. It's more often than not, a money SPENDING problem.

Once defined, you can now empower yourself to make alternative choices. AND most importantly re-set your frame of point of view to focus on what you already have NOW.. and
BE......... sincerely grateful.

Once you enter this space, a positive magnetic force will occur, opening up your mind to alternative thoughts and therefore actions. New insights, and opportunities will 'magically' appear.

A few days ago, I had quite a strong response both on my profile page and in my message box to a status update on facebook, which was:

"Financial Freedom is the attainment of Passive Income exceeding Needs rather than Wants." ~Phil Jones~

I also mentioned in a comment to the post (in response to a previous comment):

"...This is one of my FAVOURITE topics to discuss...
I have successfully created financial freedom++ for myself and love to guide others who wish to do the same.."

It brought forth a flood of people wanting guidance.

There is no magic pill. But, the right mind-set with a core essence focused on Gratitude, it could be perceived as magic!

There is no one strategy physically to create wealth. There are thousands of ways to create financial freedom. But these are purely the vehicles. And like learning how to drive a car, you need to learn "how to drive" the vehicle. That knowledge is what helps you then recognize how to maneuver the vehicle and get you from A - B.

YOU have all that you need within you to succeed financially. You have the answers to the questions you are yet to ask. Each and every one of us is connected, within the matrix of consciousness. Some of the answers will show up directly within your mind. Some answers will lead you to others who will assist you with the answer.

Simply tap in to the abundance of what is already great in your life NOW and focus on Gratitude. Lag time aside, your 'reality' will evolve into a new one, as you shed the skin of false beliefs, that you are stuck in a financial nightmare.

The first step for guidance is... Gratitude is the key.

It is not the only tool by far. It is certainly the first and ESSENTIAL step on the path of abundance; the path of creating your life by design, on your terms so you too can SHINE... ...creating your own unique footprint on the path of life, with all the wealth you desire.

Now.. for helping you learn how to drive your vehicle of abundance, I highly recommend "Think and Grow Rich" as your foundational book on your path to financial success.

I will leave you with a beautiful quote from Melody Beattie (author of "Co-Dependent No More" 1987)

“Gratitude unlocks the fullness of life. It turns what we have into enough, and more. It turns denial into acceptance, chaos to order, confusion to clarity. It can turn a meal into a feast, a house into a home, a stranger into a friend. Gratitude makes sense of our past, brings peace for today, and creates a vision for tomorrow.” ~Melody Beattie~

Author's note: Wealth embraces more than just money. It equals money, assets, relationships, spirituality and health. When these are all satisfying in our life we have true abundance, true wealth.

Amazonion Bugs... get into my stomach

These last few days I have been bound to my bed with a stomach bug and on a 'dunny run' for the umpteenth time. Clutching my stomach, bent over double on the loo, on my fourth day of this ordeal, in great pain I cry out... "dear God, please help me through this. Help me clear this crap."

And then I get some insight.

I see it as a cleanse physically and emotionally, as the emotional 'crap' I'd been hanging onto in recent weeks, storing it in my belly.

I'm momentarily in gratitude, then squeak as I grip my belly with another cramp rolling through. I'm feeling weak, and exhausted. I want this to stop. I shut my eyes and breathe....

I'm also transported back in time to September 2008 when I was in the Peruvian Amazon Jungle, and experienced more 'bugs' than I bargained for.

A four day adventure in the thick of the Amazon was amazing and enlightening as to how I can cope being ill in one of the most isolated parts of the world.

We flew in to Puerto Maldonado (Peru, near the Bolivian border), picked up by tour guides and led to an office to leave most of our luggage. We were each given a "ten kilo duffel bag," meaning we could only pack ten kilos of belongings to travel with us.

From there we were transported by bus to the Amazon river, all piling into a motorized canoe. An hour later, we disembark, and begin a 3 kilometer trek along a path cut through the jungle, to another canoe. This time our guides paddle them.

The squawks of the jungle and the rhythmic chirp of the cicadas are echoed around me as the sound of the paddle dipping and sliding through the water keeps me present in the canoe.

I'm in the Amazon!

Four days of nature, magnificent nature. Photographing tarantula spiders on guided night walks, spying Macaws flying through the trees at the wee hours of the morning, a forest full of life: bugs, monkeys, spiders, snakes, insects, and an abundance of beautiful trees.

Day two my stomach started to rumble. I had a close encounter with the stomach bug. Fatigue. Lethargy. And a closer relationship with my en suite bathroom.

Not to waste my precious time and opportunity to experience Mother Nature in this beautiful land, I chewed on Imodium and Buscopan like candy.

I roomed with my partner on the tour, Kristina, from Los Angles. We had only met for the first time in Cusco for the first part of the tour to Machu Pichu. She had a few days of ill health there, with a reaction to malaria pills.

I had taken no medication or vaccinations to come to the jungle. When advised of it in Peru by the girls on the tour (I hadn't been given any instructions from my US tour company), I had Videl, my tour guide, scout Cusco with me to find a medical center to get the 'Yellow Fever' shot. When we found one, they said they had none, and that it wasn't necessary given the time of the year.

They tell me
it's dry season and there are not many mosquitoes about. I'm only concerned about one biting me with the disease! I make a mental note to be extra vigilant with the mosquito repellent and long clothing.

I'm a little anxious, about not carrying the medical documentation and also for the possibility of getting sick with Yellow Fever. But that was the least of my concern.

Most of the jungle activity is bustling at dawn and dusk, and during the night. So by day, I slept, oblivious to the steamy heat. My body just grateful to be horizontal. I willed myself forward for the early morning trail walks and laid myself out to sleep on the bench in the canoe, opening an eye every now and then when 'Tarzan,' our tour guide pointed out a caimen (crocodile) in the amazonian river water.

Transported back to my current moment, I grab some water from the kitchen to dissolve some more hydralyte. As I mix the orange powder into the liquid and stir, I'm ever grateful to be in my home, with a comfortable bed and privacy to allow my body to heal.

The only animals present are my cute, cuddly cats and dogs snuggling up to comfort me and give me love. And the occasional fly buzzing by my head, which I swat to keep it clear of me.

I nestle into my bed pillows as I smile with gratitude with reliving the magic memories of my Amazonian experience.

I'm feeling better already.

Irradicate Irritation!....

Are you tired of seeing those things around you in your environment that annoy you?

Do you want to know how to cleanse your mind, soul and environment?

Then, create your 'Irritation List' NOW!

What does this mean?

Well, during my recent adventures and travels, a few months ago I met up with Jack Canfield (Co-Author of "Chicken Soup for the Soul" series) in San Francisco back in June of this year.

Before I witnessed his amazing ability to speak with passion, compassion and SOUL, I had heard previously about becoming conscious of what irritates you in your environment, and intentionally going about clearing it.

I caught up with Jack, after his presentation of which I was reminded of this amazing technique to move forward in life at amazing speed once 'clearing the path.'

His specific instructions were clear: spend a few days noting down EVERYTHING in your personal and professional environment which irritate you. Perhaps it includes the stapler on your desk, that no longer works efficiently yet you still use it. Or at home, the light bulb in the reading lamp you have forgotten to change for weeks.

Within in this list you will note small and large things that for one reason or another you have put off dealing with.

Deferring dealing with these irritations is sending a very dominant signal to your sub-conscious mind. It's sending a message, that perhaps sets you up for sabotage from moving forward.

The message is simple: "if you can't deal with this, then you can't deal with a bigger 'problem'..."

So, by spending a few days with intention, writing down everything that you can list as irritating you, the next step can be taken.

Dealing with it!

Whether you do it yourself, or delegate it out, once you have 'cleaned up' your environment, you will now create space for what is working in your life.

Allowing .... FLOW.....

Get rid of the old. Banish the broken. Donate or sell the things you no longer want or need.

And watch the magic of a Universal Law.. "Nature abhors a vacuum!"

If you would like more of Jack's marvelous tips, I highly suggest the 'White Bible'... his latest book, "The Success Principles".... A compilation of the best Success strategies in one book..

Enjoy!

My entire life in a box.. GONE!

Have you experienced losing data, or rather the vehicle the data is kept on? Perhaps you have been through the lesson of 'backing up' your important records. Or not, yet.

Here's my tale...

A little over a week ago, I traveled from Spain, to London, to Singapore, to Perth on a very looooong journey.

Throughout the duration of the journey I used my laptop many times. I also used my USB thumb drives, which contain ALL of my life on digital record. I kept these several thumb drives in an ugly green vinyl pencil case. That is, it was my strategy to make it look uninteresting and unimportant to a potential 'theif' whilst traveling.

I'm usually super vigilant in knowing where my 'pencil case' is kept at all times. On my journey, I made a critical mistake.

I used my thumb drives, then in a dim moment of poor decision, rested my pencil case upon my hand luggage and jacket within the onboard baggage hold above my seat in business class. Instead of immediately tucking it away in my bag. This was on my travel leg from London to Singapore.

The flight had been delayed. Whilst uneventful during the journey, the landing had me in a scrap to get my gear and bolt for the next gate as my connection flight boarded within 25 minutes of us landing in Singapore.

Moving forward in time now...

Four days after returning to Perth, and finally comprehending life through the hazy veil of jet-lag (the worst I have ever experienced in all my travels)... I finally go to 'work' to create even more magic with my ideas.

Because, I hadn't even unpacked my bags yet, including my on-board bag, I went searching for the 'Golden green bag'...

Imagine my face... then... I went pale, I gagged, I coughed, I gulped, I ..I ...I ..I.. *breeeeeeeeeathe*

My brain snapped into 'fix it' mode.. no time for emotion.

I believe EVERYTHING happens for a reason... and trust me, in that moment, I really had to stay conscious with this belief...

This was Thursday 24th September at 10 pm .... all business calls closed.

Aaaarrrrgh!

I tossed and turned in my sleep. My meditation practice rippled with my head in the way, wanting to control the situation. My spirit's voice drowned in the ego muffling it's criticism...and fear.

The next morning, I called the Qantas baggage claim in Singapore. A woman, with a very clipped attitude responded to my call. "We'll get back to you later today, after we have dealt with an emergency. A plane has been diverted back from Kuala Lumpur, and that is our priority."

"Ok," I replied with patience, and trust.

She never got back to me.

Now, I faced a whole weekend of silence, or rather, a head filled of worry...now with baggage claim hours now closed until Monday.

*breathe*

And.. my first action: change all passwords to all accounts. Lock down all security.

*breathe*

I focused my attention on trusting it is possible to have the thumb drives back. I also focused on the gifts included IF I didn't get the thumb drives back. Whilst I had to dig, I found many.

Then, the realization HIT me!

... I remembered, I have ALL of my book manuscript for my latest adventures, stored on those thumb drives. The 'back-ups' were also in the same pencil case. I don't even have 'hard copy' back-ups of all the work I had done.

This is when I allowed myself, to have a fleeting, momentary cry....for about 20 minutes.

Then, I gathered my spirit and realised... "Wait! I'm a Manifestation Queen! They'll be delivered back to me. And, in the meantime, the gift is, your book is real life experience and not a fantasy novel you need to remember. Now, you have the opportunity to start fresh."

I listened to this inner voice, with a little reservation. It was still a hard 'blow'. But I get it. I get that, sometimes we don't always know the reason behind what happens. Sometimes, we find out straight away (we get the lesson)..sometimes, later. Sometimes, not in this life-time.

So, moving forward. Now it is Wednesday 30th September.

I have taken every action conceivable (in my knowledge) to pursue my 'Golden green pencil case', and more importantly the content within: all airport baggage claims (Singapore, Perth, Melbourne and Sydney (remember, I changed planes, and the London to Singapore carried through to Melbourne).. have denied seeing such an item. I must say, every Australian baggage claim consultant were extraordinary in their service to look for it!

My intuition says, the 'Golden green pencil case' is still humbly lying in the depth of the on-board baggage hold.

The lady I spoke to in Melbourne says this is NOT possible. ....of course not. I imagine that would demonstrate a serious breach for on-board security.

Well.. the ending to this tale (so far) is, *deep sigh* an extra awareness of creating back-up in multiple strategies, especially when you travel.

I now have some LARGER external hard-drives (and the LaCie is my favorite for it's travel hardiness).. and I am also staying focused on the opportunity to create a newer, better version of my Adventure to share in book form... especially with the extra experience, love and adventure to add from these last three months touring Europe.

I am also now creating extra, extra, extra back-ups!

Machu Pichu.... A flash back in time

Machu Pichu ...a flash back in time.

This day a year ago, I was spending my last day packing in Peru to head back to the USA.

My journey to Peru: Machu Pichu and the Amazon rank high among my list of "AMAZING" pilgrimages.

I left on my own, to spend two weeks away, with a guide...and five other ladies in Machu Pichu, and just one other lady in the Amazon.

My trek was to experience a life-long dream spurred on by a scholarly idea.

In mid-high school (year 10) I did the most amazing research project on Machu Pichu. Unfortunately, my teacher graded it with only a "C" because I hadn't followed the proper questions. I had instead, ventured off in my own private journey (perhaps telling of my soul's path), which he said "On it's own merits it's worthy of an "A+".

What the project did, was embed in my soul the burning desire to visit and experience Machu Pichu. This time last year, I did.

The vibrational field of this area is tremendous. After spending the courtesy two hours with my guide and small group, with a guided tour through the ruins... I meandered my own way around the historical treasures in a walking meditation, measuring every feeling tingling through my soul.

Often, like today, I feel an internal calling to return. It's sacredness is not only beautiful and magical, there is a recognition within my soul of this ancient land.

Few places I visit have this energetic pull on me.

This week is my last week in Europe on this three month journey. These last twelve weeks have added other measurable experiences to my journey on the earth this time.

And while I spend my final days in Europe, resting in Calpe, Spain I have been reminiscing on the wonders, joys, experiences, love, laughter and many, many magic moments of touring through Europe (Switzerland, Germany, Austria, Lechtenstein, Italy, Republic of San Marino, Vatican City, France, Monaco, Andorra and Spain)... my heart and mind settles on the life-changing memories of my Peruvian experiences...

...perhaps my unconscious mind recalls the historical stories of the Spanish invasion of Peru... flashing up the odd image into my mind of the historical ages...

Whatever it is, I have felt compelled to journal today's thoughts and recollection of this magical trek.... one I feel perhaps I have done before, a looooooong time ago.
